Please read these terms and conditions carefully before submitting your order or sending your device (s) to us or selling via our affiliated trade-in store.  You should understand that using our services, this website and selling through our affiliated store you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions regardless of whether or not you choose to register with us. Usage of some of our services on this website are subject to additional terms and may require registration prior to usage. We may update these terms from time to time. We advise users to check regularly for updated terms and conditions. Certain provisions of these terms and conditions may be superseded by expressly designated legal notices or terms located on particular pages of this Website. If you do not wish to accept any new terms and conditions after we have given notice, you should not continue to use this Website

Consumers

By placing an order through our website or partner trade-in store, you warrant that:

  1. You are resident in Great Britain or Northern Ireland with a valid UK mainland address.
  2. At least 18 years old , If you are under 18 years old that you have have obtained your parent’s or guardian’s consent to sell , buy , trade-in a or donate devices via our website, partner store or affiliated charity organisation.
  3. You and your guardians release us of any liabilities or claims that may arise if you send the phone to us (or to our affiliated partner) in breach of these terms.
  4. The legal owner of the device and Accessories or have permission from the legal owner(s) to send in and sell them. We may at our sole discretion, ask you for appropriate documents to prove ownership of the devices.

Devices Grading / Condition  

Each device sold must match the make and model in the sale order. It must match the condition provided and meet the following conditions for each grade / condition. All devices must not be activation locked and all associated accounts must be logged out or removed.

Like New (working)

  • Product must be pristine / excellent cosmetic condition with original box, manual and all accessories included.
  • All components and accessories must be original
  • It must switch on and off, be able to charge; the phone must be fully working, software completely functional and beyond Start-up Logo.
  • It must be complete with all components ; button, SIM tray, backdoor , manuals (operating CDs for computers), battery and stylus/touch pen (if originally sold with device )
  • Device must not have any cosmetic issue, scratches, dents or chips or liquid damage.
  • Device must not have any engravings, personalised printing or any other customisation. Any engravings will be subject to a reduced price offer.
  • Any visible sign of Wear and tear may lead to a reduction in the original price offered.
  • Should have manufacturer’s warranty remaining.
  • All computers /gadgets must have charger or other accessories included which are required to operate the device.
  • Mobiles phones must be on a UK network

Good Condition (working)

Each device sold under this category must meet the following conditions:

  • It must switch on and off, be able to charge; the phone must be fully working, software completely functional and beyond Start-up Logo.
  • Have no damage, broken or bent housing, dents, chips or heavy wear and tear. Minor cosmetic wear and tear is acceptable ,
  • It must be complete with all components; button, SIM tray, backdoor, battery and stylus/touch pen (if originally sold with device) .Must not have missing plastics, screws or metal.
  • The LCD and touch screen must be fully working, power up correctly, intact with no cracks, lines, dead or missing pixels.
  • Devices should not have any liquid damage or water damage indicator activated
  • All components and buttons must be attached to device, must not have missing plastics, screws or metal.
  • Device should not have any personalised engravings or printing.
  • Chargers , USB cables , box or other accessories may be included at seller’s discretion (for mobile devices only)
  • All computers /gadgets must have charger or other accessories included which are required to operate the device.
  • Mobiles phones must be on a UK network

Poor Condition (working)

Devices are classified as “poor” if do not match the “like new & “Good” conditions criteria. Poor devices must meet the following.

  • Device with moderate to heavy scratches, cosmetic are acceptable in this category But device must be fully operation. It must switch on and off, be able to charge; the phone must be fully working, software completely functional and beyond Start-up Logo
  • It must not have broken/chip/damage LCD and housing.
  • It must be complete with all components; button, SIM tray, backdoor, battery and stylus/touch pen (if originally sold with phone). Must not have missing plastics, screws or metal.
  • The LCD and touch screen must be fully working, power up correctly, intact with no cracks, lines, dead or missing pixels.
  • Devices should not have any liquid damage or water damage indicator activated
  • Chargers , USB cables , box or other accessories may be included at seller’s discretion
  • Mobiles phones must be on a UK network

Damaged/Faulty Devices

Damaged/Faulty. Should meet the following conditions:

  • Must not have any integral parts or components missing such as camera, LCD.
  • Must be intact and not crushed, bent or misshaped.
  • Mobiles phones must be on a UK network

Price of Damage / faulty device is subject to further assessment. In these cases Recyclemadeeasy.com will have final decision on device values. Devices faults examples are; faulty LCD, faulty camera, does not charge, water damaged, touch broken, faulty speaker, software does not work etc.

Recycle

We accept electronics for recycling and do not pay any price for them.

Devices sent for recycling cannot be returned under any circumstances. Please ensure you are happy to send such devices to us for recycling only.

Donation to Charity

Donating devices to our affiliated charity is subject to their terms and condition in addition to our terms.

If we receive a device without customer details or unique order number. We cannot recognise the order, we will hold the device for 14 days and if we do not receive any claim of device ownership. After 14 days period this device will be treated as donation to affiliated charity. Please ensure you supply order details when sending your devices we under any circumstance cannot return device.

Posting a device

You should send us device as soon you place the order. We provide Free Post labels via following method;

  • Email

(You can print Free Post Labels from your order confirmation email, you will need a printer to print this label.

  • Free Sales Pack delivery to your address

We will send Free Pre-paid sales pack to your address within 1-3 days following the date we receive your order. Please note your device may take 2-5 days to arrive with us.

You can also send device through your own postage (paid by you)

You must take the package to the nearest Post Office counter and receive proof of dispatch and tracking number. You will need to provide us tracking number once dispatched. To provide us tracking number please go to my account http://www.recyclemadeeasy.com/my-account/ and click on orders and find upload tracking number option. Enter your tracking number and submit so we.

Please note our processing facility is closed on Weekend and Bank Holidays therefore order dispatched before weekend will arrive with us on working day

Our free postage service covers up to £50 value. If your device has higher value It is recommend that you send your device through special delivery service to us (paid by seller) Devices send via special delivery are insured up to a value of £500. You can send up to 2 devices at a time via our Free Post.  If you have more than 2 devices. You can request another Free Post Pack to your address can print online or can send using your own postage. Please ensure you have well packed devices to prevent any damaged during transit. If you are using your own packing you may use bubble wrap and packaging material to pack devices securely or using Free Post Pack by following given instruction. Please note using our Prepaid Postage Pack does not guarantee that your device will not get damage during transit and will reach us safe. A third party such as Currier Company is responsible to deliver the device. We will not be liable if your devices get damage or lost before it reaches us. The FreePost pack we provide has ordinary tracked priority service and as per Royal Mail guide it should usually reach us within 1-2 working days after you post it but we cannot guarantee delivery time it may take longer to arrive with us. If your devices is lost in post before it reach us you will need to claim compensation from Royal Mail (our free post only covers maximum £50 value). If we receive a damaged device we will inform you and offer you revised value for damaged device.  You will need to accept or reject within 3 days. If you reject we will return your device for free. If you do not respond within 3 days we will process device according to revised value and process payment. You may claim compensation claim from Royal Mail of the damage caused to your device in post. We cannot guarantee and take liability if your compensation claim is not successful.

If any device returned to us by delivery company (Royal Mail) because it failed to deliver to you due to incomplete or incorrect address. We will contact you via email and ask to check your delivery address. You will need to respond to us within 7 days of receiving email. We will resend the parcel to your updated address. If you don’t respond we will hold device for further 7 days. If you have provided us updated address and parcel is returned to us second time we will inform you via email and ask you to provide correct address. You will need to respond to us within 7 days. If we do not receive a respond within 7 days of receiving email we will process the device and pay you according to the condition for device.

Cooling Off Period / Cancellation

You can cancel the agreement any time up to the time when you send us your device/mobiles phones. This is considered “Cooling off period” that gives you right to to cancel the agreement. When your order is placed, we have confirmed your order via email and you send us your device/mobile phone. By sending your device to us you agree that we may began our services soon we receive your device to fulfil our agreement except as provided in these terms and conditions. Therefore your device will not be returned and you will not be able to cancel the agreement.  However we will return your device if we find that actual condition or value is different than it was originally stated. In that case we will send you revise value via email you will have 3 days to accept or reject and if you confirm that you no longer wish to sell your device according to revised value we will return your device according to the our terms.

Data Loss

This is your (seller’s) responsibility to remove data from your device before sending to us. Please ensure any data on device e.g. pictures, songs, personal details, emails, SMS or other data is wiped/ removed from device prior to sending to us. We accept no responsibility in relation to the security, protection, confidentiality or use of such data. As part of recycling process we or our affiliated will remove all data on device and will not be liable for any loss.

SIM Cards

This is your responsibility to remove SIM cards from device. We are not responsible for the loss of SIM cards or call cost may occur during or after the receipt of device. We do not return SIM cards we receive and it may be discarded. You are also responsible for cancelling any airtime contract related to device. We are not responsible for airtime cost or any other cost occurring before, after the receipt of device/ phone from any other circumstances whatsoever.

Memory Cards

If you are sending your memory cards with device please ensure you have wiped / deleted the data on the memory card or have created backup of your data. We accept no responsibility in relation to the security, protection, confidentiality or use of such data. As part of recycling process we or our affiliated will remove all data on memory card and will not be liable for any loss.

Processing / Device Testing

We or our appointed partner trade-in store tests each mobile device to comply with our terms. Technical check and compliance check with CheckMend database is carried out. If we find that the information about model / condition or network you have provided does not match the actual details. We will then provide a revised value for the actual device/ condition via email (to online sellers) you may receive a reduction in value if you have provided the incorrect model or network information.  If you receive revised value offer you can accept or decline. If you decline it, we will return the device to you free of cost. To accept or decline a revised value, log on to your account where you will be given the revised value and be asked to either proceed or decline the revised value. You can also reply via email. If you do not respond within 3 (three) days, starting from the day we sent you the revised value. We will automatically process your order using revised price and make payment.

We offer value for faulty / damaged devices but this is subject to further devices inspection and we are not obliged purchase any damaged mobile device. At our discretion, we may pay either according to value stated on website or offer you revised value after assessment depending on the condition of device and our ability to repair it.  We only give revise value once device is fully inspected. You can then decide whether to continue with the revised value or to decline the offer. If you decline we will return your device within 7 days. How to decline or accept is explained above.

Lost / Stolen Device

We check the status of devices we receive by using IMEI/Serial against National CheckMEND database of lost and stolen property records to ensure no lost or stolen items are purchased. This process is part of our legal and ethical compliance with Code of Practice and rules set by law enforcement organisation. Selling a device which you are not entitled to sell or not a legal owner is an offence. If we found that the device we receive has “red flag” status which means it has been reported lost /stolen or have any other issue related to its ownership. We will notify the seller by email and quarantine the mobile phone or device for a period of 28 days. The Quarantine means that the devices will be retained and payment will not be made until the CheckMEND record does not show the mobile phone as stolen or lost. In this case you will need to contact CheckMEND to prove that you are the legal owner of the device and have the lost or stolen records related to this device cleared or resolve any other issue relating to its ownership within the 28 days period. You will receive an email how to contact CheckMend. If, during the quarantine period the red flag is changed to green, your device will be processed and payment will be made. However, if after the quarantine period has expired the red flag has not been removed then we are required by law to dispose of it and you will not receive any payment. UK legislation states that we cannot under any circumstances return the device during this 28-day period unless the red flag has been removed. If you have received payment from us for a device which we subsequently become aware of any issue relating to ownership, you agree to immediately reimburse us in full within 5 working of our written request. As a legal requirement we may share your details with law enforcement authorities and you may also be contacted by relevant organisation and will required to cooperate with them.

Devices with iCloud Account or Activation Lock

All Apple devices must have iCloud account removed and Activation Lock deactivated. If we receive a device which has Activation Lock activated we will notify inform you. You will need to respond to us within 3 days. If no response received within 3 days we will not process your order and return the device.

Pricing

We only pay for device listed on our website. All prices are included VAT (where applies). Price offered for a device is only valid for 10 days after the order has been placed and subject to device inspection.  If we receive your device after this 10 day period we reserve the right to update the price of device to current price if prices have changed during this period. We also reserve the right to change prices on website without any notice. However orders placed prior to a price change will be honoured at the indicated price when the order is placed except when device actual condition is different than provided information, an obvious pricing error has occurred or we receive device after 10 days of order date. Revised price offers are sent via email to online sellers. These offers are made after the device is processed/ inspected and need to be accepted or decline within 3 days as per method explained in “Processing / Device Testing” section.

Payments

When we receive an order, payment is processed when we or our affiliated partner has received and inspected the devices and ensured that it meets our terms and conditions. Under no circumstances will payment be made before we receive, inspected and processed the device. Payment is in accordance with the method you select during the sales order.

Payment can only be made to the name, address, and account details provided when the order was placed /signup for registration. Incorrect details may result in delay or non-payment.

We aim to make payment within 5 working days however we cannot guarantee to meet the provided time scale. Please note in some cases payment processing subject to your acceptance or rejection of price offers and may be delayed if we do not received your response on time. We endeavour to make all relevant payments within the following number of working days from the day your device(s) have been tested and confirmed to meet our terms and conditions.

  • Bank Transfer (BACS) Normally within 24 working hours may take up to 5 working days.
  • Cheque

Within 2-3 Days, cheques are sent via Royal Mail recorded delivery. You should allow 2-3 working days for cheques to arrive and bank may take 3-5 working days to process the payment. If you have damaged your cheque, you can have it reissued, free of charge, by making a written request and sending damaged cheque along with your request to our registered address. If we do not receive damaged cheque a cancellation fee will apply and will be deducted from the re-issued cheque value. If you have lost your cheque, it can only be cancelled and issued another cheque.  A cancellation fee will apply and will be deducted from the re-issued cheque value.

  • Paypal

Normally within 24 working Hours. A valid Paypal account is required and a Paypal email address required. Please note Paypal may charge processing fee to receive the payment.

Payment processing depends on third parties such as bank / financial institution which we have no control on. We are not responsible for delay in your receipt of payment as a result of third party action. Also if you have chosen to receive payment by cheque delivery of cheque is subject to service of Currier Company e.g. Royal Mail.  We will not be liable if you fail to receive a payment or suffer a loss (including, without limitation, if a payment is sent to an incorrect account) as a result of your failure to provide all payment and other details correctly. Rights, Liability and Risk

You must own all rights related to ownership of device when you send you device to us. You retain all rights in device until we receive device and make payment to you in accordance with our terms and conditions. Device(s) will remain at your risk until we have issued payment for this device according to terms. That you transfer ownership rights to us when have receive and paid for device.

Events Outside Of Our Control

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under an agreement that is caused by events outside our reasonable control or due to our compliance with any applicable laws or regulations.
